Genesee School Gardening

2010 Accomplishments

Thanks to the garden committee, neighborhood volunteers and the Seattle Public Schools Self Help Program for making the Genesee Hill School grounds visibly more pleasing and more enjoyable for community use.   Over four work parties last summer, the area was trimmed, mulched and planted with   bulbs that will soon be blooming for all to enjoy.   Thanks to organizers Janet Jones and Peter Church for their leadership; for the donations of wood chips from  Seattle Tree Preservation company;  Zoo Doo from the Woodland Park Zoo; and for art murals from Van Asselt  Elementary.  Keep a lookout for announcements for new work parties this spring.
