Hello Neighbors–Here is an important message from Sound Transit, received just this morning. FYI, news reports say that West Seattle will not get light rail until 2022 under the plan to be discussed tonight. There will be another meeting on Thursday night (see info below) if you can’t make it this evening.
Kerrie Schurr, Communications Chair
Sound Transit is hosting an open house TONIGHT (Tuesday, April 26) to talk about ST3. THIS IS AN IMPORTANT OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT THE FUTURE OF LIGHT RAIL IN WEST SEATTLE!
The meeting is at West Seattle High School from 5:30 to 7:30 with a presentation at 6:00 (http://soundtransit3.org/events/west-seattle).
Metro will also be there tonight to talk about their long-range vision (http://www.kcmetrovision.org).
And if you would like to get more involved with bringing light rail to West Seattle, The West Seattle Transportation Coalition’s April monthly meeting is this Thursday, April 28, at High Point Neighborhood House at 6:30 (http://www.facebook.com/events/561268620718040). Sound Transit will be joining us for more discussion about ST3.
We look forward to seeing you this week.
